Copy editing:

Editing your book is of utmost importance as it plays a pivotal role in ensuring its credibility. A book filled with errors will not be taken seriously by readers or publishers.

An initial billing of $300 is required to initiate the professional copye-diting review. This down payment is non-refundable and will be deducted from the final editing cost. It covers the first 15,000 words of your manuscript.

The final cost of editing will be determined by the length of your manuscript, exceeding the initial 15,000 words. This cost will be calculated at a rate of $0.02 per word. Before commencing the editing process, the final amount will be added to your invoice.

 The editing timeframes are contingent upon the length and complexity of the manuscript. For a typical manuscript, basic editing may require up to four weeks, although many are completed in a shorter duration. 

 Vital Information

 Our basic copy editing service is priced at $0.02 per word. To get started, we require an initial down payment of $300. The word count for your manuscript will be determined using the Word Count function in MS Word for Windows. We accept digital manuscripts, hard copies (such as handwritten pages), and actual books for editing.

Please note that there is a minimum word count requirement of 15,000 words. If your manuscript falls below this threshold, your total cost will not exceed the initial $300 payment.

For manuscripts exceeding 15,000 words, we will calculate the additional cost based on the final word count. This amount will be added to your invoice. However, please remember that the full editing fee must be paid before we can return your completed manuscript.

 Editing Can be Subjective 

Due to the subjective nature of editing, our editors will not alter your manuscript directly. Instead, they will provide recommendations for suggested corrections. These suggested edits will be communicated to you through Track Changes in the original Word file. It is your responsibility to review and decide whether to accept or reject these recommendations, and subsequently make the necessary changes to your manuscript. This approach ensures that the integrity of your story and voice remains intact.

It is important to note that utilizing our service does not guarantee a completely error-free manuscript. Our editors, being human, may have a small margin of error, typically less than 5%. Nevertheless, the corrections made to your manuscript will be extensive and significant. By carefully reviewing and implementing the suggested changes, you can achieve a document that is as flawless as humanly possible.

Currently, we exclusively edit manuscripts written in the English language. If your document contains any other language, it will be disregarded during the editing process. However, it will still be considered in the word count calculation, which determines the cost of editing.
